With over Thirty years of experience in Blacksmithing and Knife making, Cracked Anvil Forge is one of the region's oldest and most well-respected Instructors and Blacksmith Forges.
With a safety record second to none, our One on One and small private groups are ideal for the beginner or those more advanced wanting to hone their skills.
Specialising in small groups allows much greater flexibility in the days class to fulfil the participant's desires.
We have run classes all over QLD, from Roma, Injune, Bundaberg and Hervey Bay and taught complete beginners from 10-year-olds to more mature 76, NDIS, DVA and legally blind.
We can customise any class to suit You and Your ability.

Artist blacksmith
Wayne has been blacksmithing for over 30 years, using traditional methods and techniques to create forged items for any time in history.
He provides live demonstrations and explanations to the public and uses historical equipment and period bellows.
Wayne creates bespoke items on request and offers classes for beginners to more advanced blacksmithing enthusiasts.
Based in Ipswich, Queensland.

Every class is customized to suit the student's experience and ability. We specialise in making each class a great experience for all involved. From couples to Mother/son/Daughter/father and all others. One on One is of course a class purely for the person participating. These classes are ideal for the younger Smith looking for that jump-start in learning. You will learn more in a One day class than a Year of YouTube.
One on One &Private group classes
BLACKSMITHING & KNIFEMAKING CLASSES
Learn blacksmithing and Knifemaking skills and techniques. We hold one-day scheduled classes. As well as individuals or small groups. Courses can be customised to suit your needs and skill level.
DEMONSTRATIONS
We can come along to your events.
We supply all equipment, authentic antique bellows or hand cranks. Able to do multiple 30-minute interactive demonstrations while explaining all aspects of the blacksmith and the art of forging.
MEDIEVAL EVENTS
We provide live demonstrations and explanations, to the public, on traditional medieval blacksmithing methods and techniques. Using historically accurate blacksmith equipment and period bellows. We are also able to make minor repairs and adjustments to re-enactor equipment at the event. Including emergency repairs to items such as shields, armour, swords and encampment equipment.
